I moved out here about a little over a year ago as a SAG actor with admittedly not a lot of set experience under my belt. I thought being an extra was a good way to go, I could get paid, I could make my own schedule, and I could get some set experience so when I do get some lines I am not fretting about the dynamics of a set, I can just concentrate on my character.

I started out doing all my own legwork, spending lots of time calling, trying to get myself booked on as many shows as I could, but as anyone who has tried this knows, it isn't all that easy. I began to wonder if I should get a calling service but whenever I asked anyone on set there was always a varied answer. One person may love this company but the other person hates it, one person works all the time, the other one thinks its a waste of money. I was a bit confused and wanted to put my money to best use, after all I don't have a lot to spread around! (Not a starving actress but darn close!) Luckily, Lisa was really starting to roll with Cut Above and I found her through Craigs List. I can actually get a hold of her. I can actually speak to her. I hear on her lines how she is working for her clients, particularly the SAG clients. She knows who I am. She doesn't have a lot of us and I am very happy to be a part of that small group.

I would and do recommend her to anyone, union or non-union on set because I know she is a good, ethical, hardworking person and those are rare gems it seems.

I have worked on several sets including Entourage numerous times and it just keeps getting better for work with her. I don't see anywhere to go but up and that is really exciting.

I think I am not the only one of her clients who feel this way, ask anyone who is working on set for Cut Above and you will get positive feedback all the time.

It's lucky I found her and I hope I can continue to work with Lisa for a long time.

Hi. My name is Alberto Hermida. I am with Cut Above Casting Service, and I just wanted to say its a great calling service...... I'm usually getting called for mostly everything Lisa can find, which is great because just the other day I got a call from Lisa to do a great tv show for HBO called Entourage. It was a 2 day call for $75 each day and a bump if u get wet for $10 ... so I accepted as usual.

First day went pretty well - got my $85 for 8 and some over time which lead to over a $100 ... Now on Friday it was awsome. I had a chance to make so much and its because I'm a very helpful person who just likes to take initiative.... So on Friday the weirdest thing happened.

They were shooting a shot and one of the main A.D.s was messing around by the pool area and drops his phone so as soon as I had seen that phone about to hit the water I jumped for it to the pool and got it for him... it was funny because at that time it was raining and it was really cold when I jumped in. So at the end of the night I got a sag voucher.. so instead of making my $100 or so i made like $300+ for being helpful .....

So what I'm trying to tell all you guys is never turn down a job because its not paying well because u never who you'll meet ... And always help people out as much as u can cause it all comes back to u ...

So, I have all three vouchers and while on the set of Entourage I received some EXCELLENT referrals for Agents, Acting Coaches and a place to take my headshots from Jeremy Piven and Adrian. So, after a long drawn out conversation with myself, I have decided to work towards getting my SAG fees paid, and since I am not working that much right now, I am going to get a part time job to do so, as well as take a class a week where the guys suggested I go and take those steps towards my DREAM. You are SO awesome and due to all the sets you have sent me to, I have gained amazing connections and then going to Entourage they basically laid out a plan for me with all the appropriate tools. So, I am going to take these steps and see where it takes me...Hopefully staright to the top.

I have been a client of CAC for about 4 weeks.

I can not believe that anytime I am available CAC gets me out there working. In the past I've had some bad experiences with other calling services, so I have to say I was skeptical in the beginning. But I should have known I was in good hands because after being on-set one day I found a CAC business card on the ground and went right home and called. The next day Lisa had me come in for orientation. While sitting on her couch, I realized right away how motivated and determined she is to getting her clients work.

Lisa has the ability to have a personal and professional relationship while booking you as often as you need. Because of Lisa and CAC I was working on a television show that enjoyed working with me due to Lisa's' persistence of booking me, as much as possible, that eventually at the producers' request I received a featured billing for a one-liner!
